Hello, my name is Andrew, and I am a year 12 student. Though in year 12, I take various extension, year 13, and scholarship courses. I have consistently gotten high grades in my studies, gaining excellence endorsements in all of my subjects so far. I also have quite a bit of tutoring experience, doing personal tutoring, working as an assistant teacher, and having worked at English Language Holiday Programmes.
As a student myself I know first-hand how NZ's education system works and what kinds of struggles that students face at school. I know how hard it is to learn new topics and information, told new information everyday.
I aim to help students achieve (grade-wise), but put large focus on helping students develop their abilities to learn, and find the way of learning that is best for them. I want to make sure that students don't just memorise information and rely on their tutors, but want to allow them to discover their potential as learners, acting as a support as they learn.
I'm able to travel upto the Albany, Glenfield, and Takapuna areas.
Below is some of my tutoring and teaching experience.
College Mathematics and Statistics Tutor (2019 - Current).
Volunteer, Korean Language School Assistant Teacher (2018 - Current), teaching 7/8 year-olds.
Volunteer, Rangitoto College International Support Programme Mentor And Tutor (2018 - Current).
