Hi, I'm Royce, and currently I am a first year student studying a Bachelor of Music at Victoria University of Wellington, majoring in Instrumental/Vocal Composition - Film Scoring.
Both Mathematics and Music are something I am very passionate about, being an avid achiever in Mathematics since Primary School, and picked up playing the Alto Saxophone in Year 7.
At High School, I sat NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3, being Excellence Endorsed in Levels 1 and 2, and Merit Endorsed in Level 3, graduating at the end of 2018. In this year I gained the School Music Scholarship and received the award for Top of Subject in Calculus.
Although I do not study Mathematics at University level, Calculus is something I love to learn new concepts in and am looking to minor in in future years. Tutoring this subject is something I find satisfying, as Maths is not normally a subject students like to learn.
In Year 11, 2016, I sat my Trinity Grade 5 Performance in Alto Saxophone Exam, passing at Distinction level with 93%.
I have experience tutoring similar year students at High School in both Mathematics and Music, although find both rewarding experiences.
